Which test to chose, OET, or IELTS?

IELTS and OET are two qualifying English language tests for professionals who wish to work in English speaking countries, especially a mandatory test for medical professionals. Health authorities in UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada insist that the medical professionals working under them need to be well versed in the English language to understand the patient's problems without any error and perfectly communicate with them to help them with their problems. Even a negligible error can cause a severe impact on the life of a patient. Thus if you are a medical professional dreaming to work in any English-speaking country, you should pass either IELTS or OET with the minimum required score.

Now the question is which one to choose from IELTS/OET. First of all, you should know that none of these is easier than the other one. Both the exams require mastery of the language in four different formats namely reading, listening, writing and speaking. The only difference is that OET is more focused on the professional language format and IELTS, on the other hand, tries to test your general and academic English skills.

If you feel that you are well equipped with professional knowledge, then OET is the right course for you. On the other hand, if you are well-versed or confident enough in general English, then prefer the IELTS test.

The best way is to seek advice from a professional academy to know and choose which test fits your knowledge and skill. Benz Academy one of the best IELTS/OET coaching centers in Kerala offers excellent training on both the exams and helps students to achieve their dream jobs as quickly as possible.
